The Birkett Mills, providing America with buckwheat products since 1797, has long recoginzed the existence of older, traditional buckwheat recipes that may no longer be available in print.

For this reason, we have decided to establish a separate section dedicated to compiling and displaying these wonderful "classic" food preparations so that current and future generations may enjoy them.

We encourage visitors to participate in the preservation of these "old time" recipes by sending us buckwheat recipes that have been handed down in your family or given to you by others. We'll catalog and display these entries thereby maintaining a permanent record of these terrific buckwheat concoctions.
